Clear Aligner Wear Tracking
AlignDay is a focused aligner tracker for iPhone — a trustworthy wear timer, clear statistics, and per-tray treatment records. It does one thing well.
Why AlignDay
Aligner wear time comes from real timestamps, not a foreground timer — quitting the app or restarting your phone loses nothing. Cross-midnight sessions split per day, and back-filled entries are overlap-protected. The ledger holds up.
Calendar goal rings, trend charts, per-tray statistics. See at a glance how your aligner wear is really going — and show your orthodontist actual data instead of "pretty good, I think."
No account, no server, no analytics SDKs. Your aligner records and photos live only on your phone — we could not see them if we wanted to.
How it works
Tell AlignDay your current tray number, days per tray, and daily wear goal — the defaults follow the common 20-hour prescription.
One tap starts the out-timer and shows your remaining out-time budget. Put your aligners back in, tap again — the session lands in today's ledger.
Calendar rings fill day by day, statistics accumulate per tray, and switch-day reminders keep the plan moving.
Who it is for
The first few trays are habit-forming weeks. The timer and reminders turn "wear it 20 hours" from advice into routine.
Mid-treatment is where discipline slips. The daily out-time budget and overrun alerts keep every "I will put it back in a minute" accounted for.
When your orthodontist asks how wear has been going, open the stats page. Real data beats memory.
Features
Six things, all in service of wear time. No community, no points, no feed.
The home screen is a progress ring: how long your aligners have been in today and how far to goal, readable in one glance. Take out and put back are each a single tap.
Give yourself a daily budget for time with aligners out (120 minutes by default). Meals, brushing, coffee — the status bar shows what is left, live.
A 14-day strip plus a continuous calendar, with every day's goal ring at a glance. Forgot to log? Back-fill intervals, notes, and tray switches — all editable and reviewable.
Three lenses — 7 days, 30 days, per tray — with goal rates, trend lines, and consistency. Your discipline deserves to be visible.
Built-in framing guides keep every shot at the same angle. Compare before and after, and export a recap video of your smile straightening out.
Scheduled automatically from your treatment plan: on switch day, a reminder arrives that evening. Each tray's duration is individually adjustable, and the schedule follows your plan.

FAQ
An aligner tracker is an app that records how many hours a day you actually wear your clear aligners, so you can compare real wear time against the 20–22 hours most orthodontists prescribe. AlignDay does this with one-tap logging, automatic per-day statistics, and switch-day reminders — with every record stored on your iPhone.
The common clinical guidance is 20–22 hours a day (see the American Association of Orthodontists) — always follow your own orthodontist's instructions. AlignDay defaults to a 20-hour goal, adjustable in Settings.
Yes. AlignDay records the timestamps of take-out and put-back; wear time is computed from those timestamps and does not depend on the app staying open. Cross-midnight sessions are split per calendar day so statistics stay clean.
Nowhere. All data lives locally on your iPhone. AlignDay has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics SDKs, and transmits nothing to us or to third parties. See the Privacy Policy for details.
You can back-fill wear intervals for any time range on the History page. Back-filled entries are overlap-protected, so the ledger always stays consistent.
Any removable clear aligner — Invisalign, ClearCorrect, Spark, Angel Aligner, or any other brand. AlignDay tracks wearing behavior itself; it is brand-agnostic and never requires linking a provider or treatment plan.
Official brand apps are companions to one treatment system and typically involve accounts and data collection. AlignDay is an independent aligner tracker: it works with any removable aligner brand, needs no account, and keeps every record on your iPhone. If what you want is honest wear tracking, that focus is the point.
Fully. Tracking, history, statistics, photos, and reminders all run on-device with no server behind them — an internet connection is never required.
Yes. If you are in the retainer phase and your orthodontist wants a set number of wear hours per day or night, the same timer, history, and reminders work unchanged — set your own daily goal and track retainer wear exactly like aligner wear.
All current features are free to use, with no ads. Optional premium features may come later — but your data will always be yours.
From our co-founder
I have practiced orthodontics for more than fifteen years. The hard part of clear-aligner treatment is rarely the aligners themselves — it is whether they are actually worn, twenty hours a day, for months on end. Almost none of my patients could tell me that accurately. Not because they lied: because nobody can reconstruct a full day of take-outs and put-backs from memory.
What made me act was an argument in my clinic. A seventeen-year-old's teeth had stopped tracking for two consecutive check-ups. Her mother was certain she wasn't wearing her aligners; she insisted she wore them more than twenty hours a day. The scattered alarms and notes on her phone finally told the real story — the aligners came out after school every day and went back in two or three hours later. Neither of them was lying. They simply had no record.
We have precise scanners and sophisticated planning software, yet no quiet, reliable tool for the most basic behavior in the entire treatment. AlignDay began as a two-button timer for my own patients. Their requests — reminders, back-filling, an out-time budget, records to show at check-ups, no gamification, no data sold to anyone — became the app.
